Say you wanted to power a shed office, or somethign similar, and lets say it's up the end a garden.
Would you split at the meter to an isolator switch or a breaker then swa all the way up to a new CU.
Then for earth would you have to use an earth spike instead of the earth down the armoured?

Just a random senario I have yet to do and just thought about lol

if you had a spare way on your distribution board you could run a new circuit from it in swa to a new sub main in your outbuilding and then have a 20 amp radial socket circuit and a 6 amp lighting circuit. the mcb and cuductor sizes to your outbuilding will have to have volt drop calculations applied. a 32 amp fuse with 6mm swa might do it depending on the calculations. you will have to test weather your earthing will be ok or not if your not sure bang an earth spike in aswell make sure its protected from corrosion. hope this helps. you can also find some answers in the regs
