Power To Shed

Hi
I need to get power to my shed, I need 1 double socket and a light, I have been told I need to connect the armoured cable to a stopping box, can someone advise me how this is done.

Call in an electrician

A stop end box, is a round cast iron box for conduit: HANGZHOU TIMES INDUSTRY CO., LTD.
You make off your SWA gland:Cable Glands : Cable Accessories : C & K Supplies into the box, and screw the box to the outside of whichever builsding you are mounting the box on.
You then drill through the box and through the wall of the building, passing the cores of the cable through the wall into an enclosure.

Remembering that sheds are covered by the requirements of Part P, so before you do anything you'll need to send off the forms and cheque to your local buildings office and get their approval first.

Or you could just call in a Part P electrician to do it.
