Powering motorised valve?

Hello,

I want to control a 12V DC motorised valve from a switch located on a wall - similar to a light switch. Something like this:

Is there a pre-built switch I could simply connect this to; i.e. with a built in battery to power the valve?

i'd imagine you'd need a mains supplied 12V PSU mounted by the valve. then use any suitable switch to switch the 12V to the valve.

As Tel says. You may be able to use something like this for the 12V.

Thank you very much for your responses. I will probably purchase a valve and a similar 12V adapter and see if it works!
