Just wondered if anyone has tried claiming PPI of the banks?

Did you have any problems?

The main thing that worries me is that if i claim off the bank, when my overdraft is up for renewal will they decide not to renew it! This could leave me up s**t creek without a paddle!

My mum claimed back £6500 about 6 months ago without any issues. She has since upped her overdraft and remortgaged. She is self-employed. I don't think they can penalise you for claiming back what is rightfully yours! I know we don't all have a lot of faith in the banks, but they got egg on their faces big time over this, and now they pretty much have to be seen to be doing as they're told!

I dare not try making a claim because I owe them too much money & so far they've lost track of me so can't ask for it back, so I'm letting sleeping dogs lie ....

Hi Geordie, well as long as it was an English bank and not a Geordie bank they would take one look at the language from you and probably think you are some kind of nutter! (Not far from the truth there then!):vanish:

Banks want you to have a overdraft/loans thats how they make more money out of you.
So they get there oversized bonus.

Top cat if you want to claim ppi do it yourself,alot of companys charge 25%, where it cost you a bit of time.

I wouldn't worry about a bank removing your overdraft, as they can recall it at any given moment anyway. I would say go for it as it is rightfully your money, and has been said do it your self plenty of template letters online.
