If anyone has any suggestions about specific points that should be included in my press release feel free to add to my list below. I think I'll offer a series of maybe 3 or 4 press releases over the next month covering different issues.

Getting a D rating - gas v oil, what is an EPC, why do we need it, what's the impact on the industry, what's the impact on the customers?

Missed the boat mentality, use graph of installations for last 12 months, discuss cost options, customer perception of cost and payback, impact on industry and consequences of boom and bust.

Planning permission, new regulations, who it's affecting, who it's opening the market out to, tying in with the EPC.

Changing Fit, consumer confidence and the impact on small, rural businesses in a recession. Business planning made impossible - what does the future hold if nuclear recommissioning can't be resolved and the lights go out.

Any more thoughts??????

I think it's worth mentioning the delay to the renewable heat incentive for domestic installations, as this was only announced right at the end of the consultation period, and I know that quite a lot of companies had been looking at adding solar water heating / heat pumps to their accreditation and using that side of the business to balance out any reductions in income from solar PV with any FIT cuts.

That was definitely a significant part of my business plan for coping with any cuts, and we've been certified for solar water heating since the start.

I think you've got a lot covered there. One thing that nobody seems to mention about nuclear, if you're going to mention that, is that the concentration of the uranium ores being mined are dropping as with most other minerals. There seems to be a mentality of 'just build reactors!' without considering where the fuel will come from.

There is not enough uranium for the whole world to be nuclear powered and not enough capability to extract it much quicker than we currently do. On top of that there are not very many companies that can manufacture reactor vessels and components.

Nuclear will be a long slow process, they can't be built in quickly in significant numbers.
