Pricing testing

Have a four bed grade two listed building TT supply that needs testing after flood damage what sort of price should I aim, for ? Insurance has agreed to pay for re[airs that will go into £28000 anyone can give me a rough idea thanks PHil

Phil, have you undertaken many periodic inspections?

Do the insurance company specify any trade body membership?

How many circuits are there?

Are the ceilings very high?

Are you insured for public liability and professional indemnity?

I can't price the job for you, you know your costs and overheads but the above points might be food for thought.

Yes, to all the above except specifying specific trade body - not done any in a grade two listed building bit nervous about getting pricing right and the property is probably worth £700k plus, its two buildings, into one just wondered if I ought to add a bit on for that. The ceilings are 'low' couldn't get a good look at place it was flooded and in terrible state. There are (9) Circuits for what I saw. Just thought would you add on an extra 10% or so as it looks like its going to be tricky ....bit of guidance needed dont want to under price thats all anyone done job like this?

On jobs like that, I go in high and take the chance.

At the end of the day, it's purely down to size, the listing shouldn't really make a difference to your periodic inspection if you follow the usual procedures.
I'd use a high sample rate and just be thorough.

Here's some guidance from the ESC on flood damaged electrical installations:
