Hi all,i know its a difficult question without seeing the job but its a roundabout figure i'm after. It's a new shower circuit that needs installing starting from scratch its about a 35 metre run from the consumer unit, piping up the shower with water( about 2 metre run),installing a shower screen, splitting the tails to a shower cu,installing the main bonding to gas & water(none present))consumer unit in the middle,25 metre run 1 way to the water,25 metre run the other direction to the gas, installing equip bonding in bathroom (none present)if resistance tests unsatisfactory.I was thinking of charging ÂŁ300 just for labour (maybe 2 days job).Does this sound expensive or reasonable to your kind gentlemen;),No offence taken if anybody thinks its expensive:confused:,i don't want to rip the client off but at the same time i want to charge fairly,Thanks for any replies

i once put up a target figure of ÂŁ200 per day in london and got posts saying that was cheap i think yours must be more than fair in that case.

"installing equip bonding in bathroom (none present)if resistance tests unsatisfactory"

check out 17th ed as this is no longer required but rcd for any circuit in bathroom is

Hi thanks for both your replies I have actually read this& questioned it,could anybody actually claryfy if this is the case that supplementary bonding can be ommited in the bathroom if all circuits in the special location are RCD protected.I have read it in the BRB but just want to make sure i have interpretted it correct thanks again

yes providing all requirements are met in reg 701.415.2 and 415.2.2 (so no you cant just rely on the rcd)
