just priced a job new feed to office in back garden new 3 core swa from db in house about 30 mts away to feed a 2 way rcd board in office 2 sockets and 2 lights in office need to go and first fix ready for plastering and then go back and run sub main cable test and certify and 2nd fix told the guy 600 pound to which he repled u are joking arent you i replied no he started to laugh i just walked off and got in my van and drove away

Should phone him up and say sorry,i made a mistake about the quote,it should have been £1000,let mr tight get an unqualified monkey in from myhammer who will do it for £100 quid and then see his shed and computers go up in smoke

Your price seem's prytty fair. Easily two day's work there, the cost of the armoured and the board will probably be £120+ and then the rest of the materials will probably push it up too about £200. And then your day rate, he seems like one of those who wants everything for nothing

sounds like a good fair price to me dont think he would get it much cheaper then that.where abouts is this by the way? cos prices can change alot due to area.

Brilliant ! Sad you didnt get the job but commenable that you stuck to it...and agree that price would of cut you not much slack, and you wouldnt of been putting your feet up at any point..........I had simular experince with garden shed and LED garden lights, thing was she had just had garden llandscaped, so was MEGA twiddling about to keep out of sight ...But i got laughed at too when quoted and like you it was mooooooooore than fair. Easy to get disheatened BUT dont...Guys like you will keep trade alive

Trouble with these people if they give you the job when you are on site you get the "can you just do this and just do that" what they don't want is the price to go up
