Hi, looking for some advice on how I can fix a problem I'm having with my central heating system if possible.
I'm not an electrician but I would like to try and fix the problem myself :)

I have a flat with 4 Dimplex heaters all controlled by the wall mounted control panel. There are 2 dimplex evx050 heaters in the bedrooms and 2 DuoHeat 500is in the rest of the flat. All of them work fine except for one of the DuoHeat 500is which I'm having a problem with.

A couple of weeks ago it randomly started making a clicking noise and I couldn't get any of the buttons to work, I guess they had become stuck but since no-one touched it I'm not sure what started that?

Anyway, now the buttons all work fine and I set the background heating to the middle bar and then did the same with the Comfort bar. Problem is the heater now gets incredibly hot when I switch it back on at the wall, it's like the heating is on the very maximum level possible at all times even though the controls say it is on the 5th bar. I even changed both settings down to the 2nd bar but no change, the heater was still incredibly hot when I got up the next morning.

Not sure what is broken here or how I can fix, thought?

Thanks.

I don't know if you are sorted yet but I would only do the single supply option as a very last resort. Great care has to be taken in setting up...
