Sorry but if you want an all singing and dancing meter you’re going to have to pay.
It may be cheaper to buy separate units. As far as use in a process environment what are you going to do when it goes belly up. Sorry can’t repair that my meter is away for repair again.

Mmmmmm...nice toy!

But at that price, I don't think anyone would let me take it out of the workshop.
Would you need the Ex version? Even worse. The calibration cost would be interesting to see.

Like Tony says, separates is the way to go.

I'm not really happy with these MFTs, when one bit goes wrong, you're screwed.

Stick with the Fluke and you won't go far wrong.

I understand the one for all thing if it goes wrong, but, how much kit can you actually carry!

I have several different multi function units & I find them a saving.

Thanks guys, all points taken. I understand the initial outlay is great but I'm going to talk to my boss about getting a process meter. We spend about ÂŁ1900 per year on temperature calibration - not a great deal but I would prefer to do it myself. I agree that the fluke is the way to go for sure - its a serious piece of kit.

If were talking about a company purchase for it's in-house maintenance dept then Yes!! It's a solid purchase and should give a good few years of service, when maintained and looked after by competent technicians....

Hi there, I've had a fluke 727 for years and it's never failed me on any job. Ideal for in the field or workshop use. You can pick them up pretty cheap now.

I purchased a used fluke 787 ( Fluke 787 ProcessMeter ) on ebay for ÂŁ150 about 5 years ago & It's still going strong although I have had to resolder the connection that holds the test leads . It does every thing the 789 does except loop power

Ebay.com is better than .co.uk for them
