Productive day...

So I started college today... Got there for 9; on time all good, so we're sat there waiting to be split up into three groups(something about who's doing Fulltime/half time or whatever) so our group go into the workshop for about half 9, get our timetables and what not. Only about 5 of us bring steel toe capped boots... So we can't do any workshop work. now we have a 3hour break until 1pm. Had to time to get a hair cut, get home and chill out until about 12:40 go back to college for some classroom work. Get there fill out 2 forms, get folders write our names on folder and our calculators... Time to go home... Oh... Guess we'll start properly tomorrow when people get their s*** together. :|

Woo... Haha and level 1 diploma in electrical installation and functional skills maths and English. Already got my C grade in maths trying to get a B or higher and trying to get a C grade in English

Haha sounds like the first few weeks that I had haha, then it was 6 months of health and safety, hope you enjoy it mate

I was ready yesterday... Why it annoyed me so much that nobody else was... I spent last week making sure I had all my stuff I needed haha I even splashed out on a Casio calculator ooooo

Toody, you did not take an Hi-Viz for the workshop did you? That prank would have been funny

Sounds like you have the mindset to become an electrician. First day turns up with enthusiasm, all the tools, willing to learn, snubs the others that are ill prepared. Then has time to kill so gets an hair cut and goes home before going back. Going prepared like you did is a very good sign of things to come, keep doing it. As the others have said "its a long way to go and a lot of hard work".

good to hear that and thanks, I plan to... Going to stay ahead with my homework and assignments and not leave them until the last minute like I'd do throughout school haha wired a plug today... Need any plugs wiring. I'm your man
