Does anyone know, would you need to have professional indemnity insurance for doing a PIR on someones house that they live in themselves? From what I can tell, PI is there to protect you against a business claiming loss of money due to you advising them badly, surely this makes it redundant when testing standard domestic houses.....
 
I think that you will need PI for any PIR's you do m8. A homeowner could sue you for bad advice just as much as a business could. :)
