Proteus MCB

Hi All,
Got a call today to change a 6 amp proteus MCB, How do C.E.F. justify £22 for a poxy breaker?

I was in senates when a lady come in and asked for a price on a mcb as cef quoted 45 pound now there's charging more to public and there's taking the Mick

i paid just shy of £22 for a wylex NB breaker yesterday.

I'm guessing these are prices for triple pole units or at least SP+N....????

and so they should charge joe public an arm and a leg. too long have wholesalers been selling to idiots who 1. don't know what they are doing. 2 putting us all out of work.

seems bit pricey that mate i recently had to get one it was bout 11quid,single pole mcb.they said it was expensive because it was a type 2 m6,not used that much any more.this is obviously not your regular wholesaler maybe thats why so expensive

mine was from my local wholesalers, its a obsolete board so they can charge more

We're currently paying about half that for a multi9 although I think the small amperage rating mcb's (1A-6A) are a little more than the more commonly used sizes like 10A and 20A. I've not encountered Proteus where I am but if it's a cheap far East variety then we would pay about three quid for the equivalent. Strange but the price of breakers has dropped about 15% here in the last year.

its crazy prices for individual mcbs when there are deals like 17th ed dual board and breakers for £80.00
