I was at my shed this morning, and something came to my mind about installing a charge point and taking payments for charging cars.
I say “shed” but it’s actually a large empty warehouse belongs my FIL. He bought it, then took it off commercial property, as it was only going to be used for domestic storage of caravans, his little sports car… spare furniture etc.
The fact it’s in a predominately industrial/ commercial street is neither here nor there.
As it’s now classed as domestic, he doesn’t pay commercial rates, or over the top electric and water.
What I’m looking for is a charge point the can take credit cards, or payment through an app or something…. Tethered lead, so it doesn’t go missing…. And SIM card networking, as there’s no broadband at the site… (but might be an option to get it, just for the point)
I’d also need to look into a dedicated parking space next to the building. The yard is shared between several other buildings that are commercial… and they end up parking either blocking our doors, or blocking access completely.
