Well actually i put it in then took it out again. I was 1 foot short of cable and the merchants were shut!:mad2:

Two occasions spring to mind that are sort of similar , one was a 160m run to replace a 6mm that was supplying several blocks of stables , storage barn massive indoor stable block with a indoor horse walker , mess room and rug wash/dry room , offices , log cabin and a mobile home !
It was at the jockey Pat Edderys yard and we had moled right around his garden and swimming pool , which was a absolute arse of a run , anyway i was driving down from Linc's to meet up with the boys and help with the pull , while talking to my other director on the phone about how they had already got the two core half way in to which he says " What ! Don't you remember us testing the main stable block a month before when we found the under sized supply and it being a 3ph board" !!!!:svengo:

The other was last year when we had to pull several runs of fibre in for one of the locall estates that we do work on , we don't do much fibre at all so left it to our rep the estate manager and main builder to order what was needed , after obtaining the specks from the wholesalers we decided it would need hand balling in , the only problem with that was this run was 3.6km long !
So we had been there nearly 2 days pulling the fibre out at each manhole and laying it out then pulling in that 200-300 meter loop before doing the same again , when the estate manager came up to see how we were getting on , he then has a look at the 38 number long code on the side of the cable and says that one of the letters should be different ?????
It turns out the manufactures had sent the wrong stuff out and we ended up having to pull out and replace the 2km's that we had just pulled in ! Needless to say our quad and winch which we usually use to pull subs in through ducts , came out and we were not quite so forgiving with it on the way out !!!
