Has anyone come across grants for Solar PV funding?
A solar company near me is selling systems with £2500 grant money. Although I can not find the company on the MCS web site :crazy:

There are no publicly funded grants as any from 'public funds' will make a system ineligible for FiTs and so would be self-defeating.

It seems more than a coincidence that '£2500' is the same as the last grant available under the LCBP - which ended 3 years ago.

It might be a finance scheme where the company "grants" £X in return for the FIT for X years?

It could be that the 4kWp PV system costs £12k. They will give you a £2500 "grant" to reduce the cost to £9.5k. Still not an amazing bargain.

They said system costs £8500 with £2500 grant she will be invoiced for £8500 but will only have to pay £6000.No SAP details or information regarding panels or inverter.
