Hi,
Can anyone give me some info on what the legality issues are about installing PV in Guernsey? I am an MCS PV installer, but have not done any in the Channel Islands. I know that there is no FiT, but do they have a G83 equivalent over there? I have family there and they would like me to go over and install it for them.
Hope you can help!

We've got about 12 commercial sites to survey there in 2 weeks time, so have scheduled a metting with the leccy co. I'll let you know the outcome.

There's no permitted development. (You'll need planning permission)
And although G83 spec may be permitted, the process is NOT the UK pre/post notify using the ENA forms, it's all pre-notify direct with an interesting application form:)

Thanks for that. I will make my own enquiries as well and let you share with you what I find out

Something else you may need to bear in mind is the process (paperwork) for exporting the panels/inverter etc from the UK to Guernsey as the islands are outside of the EU. I'm more au fait with Jersey than Guernsey (Jersey is more complicated as they also impose tax (GST) on imports), but something worth looking into anyway.
