Been a qualified 2391 electrician for 12 years, looking into PV installs, I understand you need to get MCS accreditation to be approved to feed back into the system, what other courses do you need to do?

For MCS you need to show some sort of competance, if you haven't done any installs then a PV course under you belt will go some way to proving competance. Plenty of choices C&G, Logic or NICEIC depends where you are based and what training providers are in your area and the depth of your pockets!

Ive just completed the PV course by Summit skills. Needed to complete a two day Renewables awareness course. which included all renewable energy types. this was needed before I could progress to PV course. Total cost ÂŁ1000. I managed to get half paid from a government fund through the college.
