As many of you know, I'm not an electrician so please go easy on me.

Do a PV on a new build etc. Customer told me the electrical connection was going in so we were good to go.

Turned up yesterday and all he has is a builders supply and wants us to tee into that. The is a consumer unit up but it's not 'wired' in yet.

Before I go and look stupid asking my spark can you guys give me some pointers?

I have attached some pictures to show you the set up.

Not sure you can get a FITs contract on a builders supply or maybe the DNO wouldn't accept a connection, seem to remember a new build customer telling me this.

He has the MPAN etc for the houses supply there but the wiring isn't ready so has had a 'builder' supply put it which basically consists of a double socket, SSE have sent him the FIT forms already so they seem to be happy with it...

take your own garage unit, and a henley block, then split the tails into the henley block and run your own set of tails from the henley block to your garage unit.

this would be a permanent solution as well, and keeps your system entirely separate from the other spark's board, so is best all round IMO, as long as you make sure your kit isn't in the way of his cable runs etc.

obviously to do this you'll have to pull the suppliers fuse out, but although that's technically not allowed, I view it as being a necessary safety measure and their own fault for not fitting cut out switches, and safety trumps some arcane regulation in my book.
