Good Morning
I am a little late on the pv seen thanks to the government , but i still need the tools, can anyone recommend the tools i need for installation i.e. Alan key, crimps, etc, etc, and the best place to get them from.
Many Thanks
feebs 73

Hi feebs73 - we do 4 different toolkits, TMPV1, TMPV2, TMPV3 & you guessed it, the TMPV4.

Each of the 4 kits come with different accessories so you can satisfy MCS requirements, as well as test and compare your own PV installation to Standard Test Conditions.

If you want any advice, please call us, all of these kits are currently in stock.

Hi Test-Meter

I too am in the same position, first install coming up. Ive browsed your site and kits. Would i be correct in thinking that if i go for the Tmpv4 it will contain everything i need to carry out the job (solar PV) ?
Many thanks

Hi Infinity,
You are correct in assuming that the TMPV4 Kit has everything, also regardless if you are working with MC4 or MC3 connectors. The TMPV4 kit basically allows:
Measurement of solar irradiance (using Tenmars TM206)
Measurement of Isc and Voc (using MD9230 Clamp Meter)
Remote panel temperature measurement (using TMPV:IR50 IR Thermometer)
Angle of the panel (using the small Digital Protractor)
Crimping MC4 connectors (using MC4 Crimping Tool)
Tightening MC4 Connectors (using MC4 spanners)
Crimping MC3 connectors (changing the dies in the MC4 Crimping tool to MC3 crimp dies)
Assemling MC3 connectors (using the MC3 Assembly Tool)
Connect the Clamp Meter to the PV installation (using MC4 Test Lead Set)
Label the installation with Solar Warning Labels.

All 4 kits come supplied in a customised robust carry case and all the test equipment (excluding the Digital Protractor) come supplied with a Certificate of conformity (the IR Thermometer comes with Cal. Cert.)

If you won't be coming across MC3 connectors or do not need the IR thermometer and Digital Protractor, then it may be an idea to look at the TMPV3 kit.

All the kits are in stock and we appreciate that due to the current situation, the equipment in most cases is needed urgently. We are trying our best to send everything out same day, but due to high demand it cannot be guarateed. If you have a deadline or specific date that this is needed for, give us a call or a PM and we will try and sort it out.

Thanks
