Hey Guys

Just some quick advice, currently doing a rewire on some offices. The client has came back to talk about my cable selection, i designed using LSF, however the owner does not want to pay the premium for this cable and suggests I fit the same cable as the other quotes he received (that being pvc). First off, i always fit lsf to offices etc, but he is the client - I just want to make sure that pvc can be used in office environment, can't see it in the regs at all and because i am a creature of habit this one has caught me out.

cheers

get him to put it in writing and then he can explain it if the fire officer is happy with it then it will be fine.

what makes me lol is lsf cable in pvc conduit, trunking, dado etc which is what we regually see in offices etc

(if i recall didnt amd1 come out in jan 2011)

Just another bit of Info in case you didn't know. And it don't sound relevant in this case, but something to bear in mind for the future. If you pull cables through external ducts that could get waterlogged, like they do, use PVC as LSF will not keep the moisture out.
