Dont know if I am using the right team of QS but basicly I am the chief inspection test electrician at the company I work for. I help and train two other electricians in the testing side of our work and I alone sort out the EICRs.

Anyway running slightly off topic. Niciec assessment is coming up sometime in the next 7 weeks is what I have been. As this is my first ever assesment I was after a heads up with what to expect and what will be needed from myself. Will I need to run though everything from our month checks on our testers.( several lengths and csa of cable. Results monitered etc) and run though our EICRs sampling program. All the stuff on more the management side of things or will I just need to worry bout showing him the job selected and proving my own competency. And wont need to worry bout the other electricians.

Just after a heads up that's all. If I need to go though the tester checks and everything I would like to make a portfolio of these things so it looks better for myself and my own satisfaction rqther then looming a dilly

Thanks in advance guys

Part p or approved contractors,or both, ive been QS for nic firm, the assessor was good as gold but there are some noobs about, one thing they love is paperwork,if thats all in order and the standard of work is upto scratch and all labels are in place then cant go wrong.Making a portfolio ready with calibration certs, eicrs, mwc, eic etc, complaints prcoedures, insurance etc.

Thanks for the reply. It is approved contractor that we are in for. So just give him a paper trail. Label, label labels quick chat and thats the lot.

Yeah that's about it, no worries! Lol!

Seriously mate do some research on this, because if your not properly prepared he will pull your pants down!

And get a calibration check box, if you show him a lot of different size cable lengths is how you check your meters then I would say he may have a problem with that lol!
