Qualifying with Able Skills

Hi peeps, I am training to be an electrician, and am struggling for an apprentiship.

Iwas thinking about doing my NVQ Level 3 and AM2 through Able Skills.

My question is are Able Skills legitimate. I don't want to spend thousands of pounds and come out with qualifications that are useless.

I went to Ableskills and found them very good. They are legit and you can turn up at anytime without an appointment and have a look around ask a few questions from tutors and students alike without putting your hand in your pocket.

We also had ex service from all over the country it appears that ableskills are the only approved centre for ex forces resettlement.

I went the self employed route and was able to ring them if I had a problem which was after all monies were paid and courses completed. How many of the course providers will do that.

Best thing to do is go see them explain your situation and take it from there.

Give them a ring they also provide accommodation, never used it myself as I lived in Folkestone at the time but its cheap, bring a bedside lamp with you they dont provide them but it was about £20 a night and about 10mins away from college.

Got my DVD and book from them today, all looks good.

I hope to be working in the Dartford area next week so i can go and have a look.

trade skills for you also offer excellent courses (next to gatwick airport)

when i was working in london with the MOD trade skills became our preffered training provider and were bit more helpful than able skills..

both providers are good but we found tradeskills to go one step further. probably because they knew they would be guranteed 10 people a year from Navy on 17th/PAT/2391 lol

I am at Able Skills now, and although I will not say they are perfect I will say I very much doubt there is a perfect training provider. As somebody who did not understand the things I do now and am not even half way through it must be working.

I am spending alot of money with them and was very dubious at first but definatley feel like its all acheviable now.

Just seen that trade skills 4 u are starting the nvq level 3. i will look into them
