i am bit confused on using smoke alarms, if i have 5 smoke alarms linked together and fed from fusebox directly with 230v AC, all are 230v with 9v DC battery backup, from their manual i think i can link them together and fed from a control panel with12v DC output, am i right?

thanks a lot,

What is the manufacturer and system type?

I must say it's unusual to have 230V alarms with a panel system.

Hi IQ Electrical, at the moment only 5NO. 230v smoke alarms linked together and there is no control panel, do you think i can add the panel in and the power for the smoke alarms will be 12v DC from the panel?

You can connect some 230v alarms using a relay base w/battery

but the whole system wouldnt be wired this way
