Supply two rings, 2 lighting circuits, 1 heating circuit with 2 x 2kw heaters
Outbuilding is 60 meters away from supply. Was thinking 25mill to cover me but advice would be nice?

do it in 95mm and future proof it for ever more!
Personally i would do 240mm just to be sure:D

2 lighting circuits- what kinda lights, how many, total load?
Two rings- to power what, max load?

help us to help you!

we have just done a similar job, the customer had his own cable...35mm 3 core aluminium. that was nice to work with lol but it was plenty big enough

if you calculate volt drop 16mm would give you 32 amp max so would go with 25mm 3 core swa will give you anything from 40 to 60 amp supply to allow for future additions

Not sure how big the outbuilding is, or how it's constructed, but will 2x 2kw heaters be enough?

Thanks for a the comments. It's just a double garage conversion for small office and toilet. 8 double sockets inside. 2 double sockets outside. 4 x standard 600 by 600 fluorescent lights. 3 x outside pit floods and 2 x 2 kw heaters

Idiots! And you call yourself sparks! Yeeeehaaa! I bet you rip off all your customers like this don't'cha, trying to sell them bigger, more expensive cables than neccessary! 1mm T+E will more than suffice! :D
Well i say 240mm, the last 2m of each end is that but i join it to 0.75 pond flex under the ground, nobody will ever know :D

are there no lamp posts nearer that you can tap into? 60 metres is a lot of money on 25mm SWA!

Shall we put one o them 5 amp fuse thingys in just to be on the safe side?

Dan you've chewed those nails all the way down mate. How are we ever going to find the CCC of them this month?

Haha. 25mill bit to much, what would you suggest?

me personally@ 60 mtrs...........35 mm swa/ 3 core/ separate earth core and swa as belt and braces bonded at both ends.
Haven't even looked at 'extraneous' and earthing but that would cover all eventualities at this time of night:).
Rcd and type C's at load side but 'delayed type rcd' as them heat lamps are buggers for tripping ccts if their in the same room..........must be humidity:)
