Hi,

I've passed the 17th edition C&G 2382 today. What else is required other than the 17th edition exam to be a 'competent person'? Where do I apply for this category, if someone can help me or advise, it will be greatly appreciated.

Depends what other electrical quals have you got? 17th edn on its own wont prove much!!

3 years min....(up to at least level 3)

then theres the add-ons

such as the 2391 etc...

you need experience as well...

You really need a certificate of completion of a modern apprenticeship coupled with the supporting technical certificate and NVQ to start to be considered competent.

Your about a million miles away from being considered anywhere near competent!! You basically need G&G 2357/NVQ or 2365 + NVQ level 3 before anyone but a Scam provider will consider you as being competent.

An open book supplementary qualification (C&G 2382) doesn't come close to making you even remotely competent!!
