Hi,

I have been ask to install a couple of convector heaters to a small shop.
Been on the dimplex website and a couple of 3kw WFE That are suitable.
Am after a bit of advice of installation and cable/mcb's.

Plan to install and run a radial with 13amp local fcu's. supplied from a 6mm pvc. Is it ok to supply this from one radial circuit and runoff one mcb with RCD protection? Istallation will be clipped direct through the basement to the c/u. about a run of 15metres.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions about this install.

Permanantly connected heating appliances should be supplied by their own dedicated circuit if they are part of a comprehensive heating installation

The above from the on site guide may apply to your system

The way I would wire them is via a dedicated radial in 2.5 with a 16 or 20 amp mcb for each appliance and switched fused spur local isolation

Sernario is that it is a small cafe. The combi is been taken out and to replace Iaminstalling two dimplex wfe 3kw convector heaters.
The c/u isn't in the same area, its actually down in thebasement. Cable length about 15m max ( prob over estimated more like12 but prefer tobeon safe side).
Idea was to run a 6mm pvc T+E off a rcd protected c/u to fcu locally fused at 13amp asper manufacturers recommendations.
Looking at 17th eduition section 753 nothing really applies as its more to do with ceiling and floor heating. Section 701 and 705 refer to agriculture and bathrooms.
Due installtion factors was hoping that a single radial would be adequate. But have posted this to seeif anyone has any other suggestions, or if I am missing something.
