Hey i passed my c+g 302 16 written today and got a few of the answers from exam papers G , H and I.
!!!If your taking the exam soon or retaking it makesure you don't spend to much time revising motors
theres one question c+g put in this years exam asking to draw a three phase star delta transformer and show the 3 out coming connections thats all you need to know for this exam!!!
I had a question today asking me to draw a polarity test of a light switch and breifly explain it.
Another asking me for rcd trip test squence if you don't pay attention to the question it will catch you out its asking for a rcbo the second trip time for that it is 300ms not 200.
Next currant carrying capacity !this has been in all 3 exams! its split into 6 question all single points work out the design currant and makesure you know the size of next step up amps like 32 not 30.
You will need to know the basic different fuses for domestic d.b industrial d.b and cartridge fuses(not all cartridge fuses are used in industrial).
You will need to know good descriptions of all charts and diagrams in all 3 exams they ask you to compare the difference or what they are worth 2-3 marks each.
You need to know what all the test certificates are when you will need them and a big question in 2 of the exams are when will you need to full periodic test.
You will only need to know few regs main ones ewr1989 h&s1974 and bs7671:2001 also may need to name onsite guide, iee wiring regulations and guidance note 3.
You maybe asked to draw and breifly describe critial path.
If your not ask the polarity question you will be asked the same question but for continuity or a tt earthing system.
You maybe asked to draw earth fault loop path for tn-s supply.
You maybe asked to name reasons why you need a 3 phase balanced load to be balanced.
Start questions usualy refer to client , main contractors , sub contrators ect.. makesure you know what jobs and roles each of them provide.
