hi everyone im lewis, im 21 from bristol....

ive just completed my level 2 city and guilds 2330 and done a nvq level 2 along with it but now the traing provider has said there not going to do level3?

so the question is if i pay out of my own pocket to do level 3 then go onto do my 17th edition and am2 will i still be qualified? or do i need a training provider to do my nvq as part of my level 3?

it seems ive confused my self with all the different courses avalible so any help would be appreciated.

also if it makes any difference i done work for an electrical contracting company i work for a gate automation company doing gates, barriers, intercoms ect.

thanks in advance lewis

it seems like brunnel and gordano (the training provider) have done it back wards as no one else in my group have done key skills exams and log book entry ect for level 2 where as ive had to do all that and build up a portfolio of evidance and everyone else has to do it for there nvq level 3? but now ive got no training provider for next year.

yes, if you pay and do the courses you will be qualified. You will have to be working to gather evidence for your portfolio. Otherwise ask about the 2357. this may be the reason they are not doing the 2330 level 3 as it is being replaced with the 2357 which includes the nvq 3.

Hope that helps.

also no-one else probably had to do it because they were paying? If you had a training provider then they make you do key skills because it is how they get paid from the government. I take it you haven't pai to do the training so far? ask your old training officer how the funding works etc..
