Hi,

Just a quick question - when doing the written exam for the 2391, would the examiner mark a student down for completing the second section of the exam first and leaving the first section until last.

It just seems to make more sense to spend as much time as possible on the harder, more in depth questions first and leave the shorter bullet-point style questions till last.

Thanks.
Dan

Leave a few couple of pages blank then do the second half. when thats done go to front and do first bit. the examiner will never known. its still allowed and he cant deduct marks for it.

Thanks scotsparky for the advise, might do that in the exam.

ian.settle1, the examiner would know what section you have completed first by looking at the order in which they have been completed in the answer booklet, but as scotsparky said, you could leave a number of page blank then start on the second section (part B).

The only thing I find a bit hard to do in the second section of the exam is remembering the sequences for each test, there's quite a few and in my exam experience, C&G like it to be EXACTLY how they say in the book.

That is exactly right, get the terminology wrong and its marked wrong, even if the examiner knows you know what you're talking about. You can't say 'Minor Works' in an answer, its a Minor Works Electrical Installation Certificate, and nothing else will do. That goes for everything, terminology for bonding, everything.

as long as your questions are numbered you can do them in any order at all ie, 1,5,10,9 etc, no points deducted for doing it in any order you wish.
