hows everyone doing

the last year has been really bad for work round here 2 days a week if im lucky so the time has come to change jobs even for a little while

hopefully i have a job working in a factory which will pay around same a week as much as im getting a month at the moment

and will hopefully work my way into the maintenance side at the factory

Interesting post. You've got the right attitude. Keep working, whatever the work is. Sorry to hear it's come to this, but some of the people who post on here about wanting to get into the trade should think very carefully about it. Hope things work out for you.

Were you strictly self employed and finding your own work? Have you not thought of going direct with a firm? You are right in what you say because some jobs you see now pay the same as working in a supermarket!

i work for someone but just no work around just cant afford to live at the moment

theres just nothing around here electrical wise at the moment

Luckily electrics isnt the main selling point of my firm nowadays or i would be less busy too, have had to branch out more and more. Like it or not there is one hell of a lot of cheap foreign labour out there at the moment, good and bad which makes work more scarce and prices drop.

They are currently in dispute over T&Cs regarding redundancies!!!!!!!!!!! they were protesting week before last which brought town to a standstill....dont know if theres any jobs going there.
