Completed a small job PIR carriage lights, on a garage, controlled by a standard light switch inside the garage. Testing R1+R2 the result seemed high, approx 6M of 1.5 t&e (1.24R).

I know you be screeming, it were the switch contacts, as I am a newbie it took me a while longer to sus the dodgy switch. Excersied it a few times and the reading was as expected.

Replaced the switch with an MK, no more budget switches for me.

MK oh yes they are good as ever , did you zero your leads befor testing , the high reading could be due to a loose connection , an r1 r2 reading on 1.5mm twe oer 6 meters i would expect to be less than 0.20 ohms
