Rako Star Wire Issue

Hi All

couple of faults on Rako Star wire system any help appreciated, due to damage wires, got a couple of odd anomalies?

looking at that manual, it seems to have cat5 wiring used for control circuits, you may start with a basic cat5 tester to check for damaged wiring.

Hi Thanks for response,

just for reference & to help any others who may in the future use the same system.

remove the jumper on each of the units 1-18 & you turn off the Power to each switch on whatever jumper is removed.
(helps identify switch location on panel)

turn off black switch on each 1-18 turns of the data to each unit.

turn off black switch & data bypasses the next switch helps identify defective switching.

data goes in & out of a switch same as power & then feeds back into the next switch at the star box.

my problem I thought when I started was 3 legs in on the star wire system (3 separate cables all faulty), not the case it was 3 switches earlier the problem but not before i put in a wire free switch to over come a problem i thought i had.

moved the switch line to the last position as data was damaged on the output of the switch, then all clear.
