I have to put a new sub board in, the problem i have is the installation that i need to get a feed from is 20 years old. My question is, the fork connectors that come from the busbar to the mcb, is it rated to take 63a? [ElectriciansForums.net] Rated to 63 amp?

Can you not just fit a new busbar?

Spin - that's quite an ask if he can't de-energise the original bar!! But agreed that's what I'd look at doing as well.

The MCB’s are rated at 10 & 16A. The fork connections don’t carry 63A. don’t worry about it.

I think the issue is that he needs to fit/swap in a 63A MCB

think OP wants to fit a 63A breaker, so one of those forks would be undersized.

As per above from Dave. Swap to a 63A outlet and problem goes away. What gets plugged into it is not part of an inspection.
