what is the best way of stopping an RCBO from tripping when doing a Zs on a circuit

I would whip out the rcbo and replace with equivalent MCB for the test, although you may still find it will take out anything under 10A.

Sorry Jason I disagree with your above statement, I deem this to be bad practise as people could forget to replace the RCBO, I come across it a couple of time, as well as person shorting out the RCD.

Hi all, i have just sat my 2391 exam in October the pule rate of the test is 10A and would take out any thing under that. So the way we were told to test was replace any thing under 10A with some thing higher (this was talking about "mcb's")

In the test it's self we had a question How do you test a RCBO? This was unknown to my self as it was not in the course and hadn' come across this problem before.

If any one can run through the test procedure for a rcbo it would help me immensly, or give a thread to the answer to my in box please.

Thanks Ian.
