hello evryone, please can anyone tell me where a rcd be fitted on a three phase board. how would it be installed and what rating, please can explain as much as possible.

cheers everyone

Fit it in an enclosure adjacent to the DB but would like to ask why do you want to protect the whole installation this way as if it tripped you would loose everything thereby making any fault finding if it tripped really difficult.

Best have a read of section 704 in ol' red.

Socket outlets MUST have 30mA protection, then all other circuits have 300mA protection.

Easiest way is to have a 300mA RCD as the main incomer in the DB and then individual 30mA RCBO's for socket outlets.
