RCD Problem

Hi, i have a problem with an RCD in a Garage unit - 1/2 30mA no trip, 1 x 30mA >300, 5 x 30mA 17ms. Any ideas what could be happening for the 1 x 30mA test.

That is a passable value, why do you think it is a problem

>300ms @ 30ma is not acceptable,most likely due to loads in circuit while the test is carried out,test at the RCD terminals with all loads isolated and it will almost certainly operate within the specified time.

Where did you test the RCD? On the load side or at sockets etc?

Did you ensure EVERYTHING was unplugged or switched off?
