Hi

What is the difference between RCD AND RCBO? where do we use RRCBO?

thanks in advance

as malcolm said, an RCDcan be used to protrect several circuits. RCBO is used when you want to protect a single circuit. e.g. for a freezer, where you don't want a fault on another circuit to trip the RCD and lose the supply to the freezer

RCBO's are used were you want both overload protection and earth fault protection. Electric showers, water heaters etc,
They are double pole too and disconnect phase and neutral. In office blocks they are used on socket circuits to limit power loss to only one circuit and not the entire RCD protected circuits

Normal single module RCBOs are single pole. They detect an imbalance between line and neutral, but only disconnect the line.

In an ideal world it would be better to have all circuits on an rcbo but it works out much more expensive. ( have I just stepped in major dog poo with that comment)?????

Remember I'm just the apprentice!! Haha

I am helping. By explaining that as an unqualified or incompetent person it is extremely dangerous/foolish to undertake major electrical work.

Totally up to you. You asked for help and advice and we gave advice.
