:confused:Hi folks i am soon to be carrying out some work at a beauty salon some extra sockets, lights and a disabled alarm to be added but not nessescary for new circuits, the current wiring not in steel conduit or buried 50mm do i have to change the lighting circuit at dis board to be rcd protected? sockets are already rcd protected, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Personally yes i would now so to keep with the 17th edition any circuits i work on i wil either suggest a new consumer unit or if its onli 1 circuit i am workin on then yes i wud put an rcbo in.
