Evening, came across a fault today on a new board that’s been fitted by a previous electrician. Split load dual RCD 6 way Hager board, when a fused spur is switched on or when the boiler starts up the RCD trips but the circuit is on the other RCD. Have checked the all wiring at the DB and all is ok. The previous board was a old wylex 100ma RCD board and never tripped.

So there are 3 lighting circuits, one for the landing and 2 bedrooms, bathroom and the 3rd bedroom. He disconnected the 3rd bedroom as a elimination process. He’s very adamant to fix this himself.
One of those customers that wants your help but wants to do it all himself

Let him fix it then, but if he calls you back, charge him extra for putting right what he's maybe mixed up.

Sounds like my sister's father in-law, he got a roofing contractor to sort his roof out, but ended up on the roof doing it, and the contractor passing up the roof tile's lol
