Readings at DB

Hello all,

I was looking at a job today that would involve changing the DB in a flat. There is no RCD protection thus I meggered it to check for existing faults. I had a reading of 0.26 Meg ohms on one circuit so it doesn't comply but also wondered if anyone knows what sort of reading is low enough to trip an RCD?? Ball park figure?? Cheers

A 30 mA RCD.

230/0.03 = 7666 OHMS

What was the reading on and what conductors ?

The reading was 0.26 megohms neutral to earth, and 0.26 phase to earth on three circuits. One circuit was clear (4 way DB)

What was the readings when you connected line and neutral together to earth ?
