Being lazy I just bookmarked the site and saved my password but now I've got an actual sale to register I can't seem to get access to the site and Google is throwing up warnings about the site - has anyone else had any problems? Has QANW changed the site?????

Site has been down for weeks, but I got on earlier today to register a couple of jobs. There is a notice which says:

"Please accept our apologies for the downtime over the last few weeks while some essential maintenance and upgrades were undertaken. The system has now been upgraded and you will continue to have access to the system, as before, until 31st January 2012, where you will be able to request Deposit and Advanced Payment Insurance (DAPI). However, as of the 1st of February 2012, the way in which the Insurance Scheme for REAL Members will be changing. Further details regarding these changes will be provided to you by REAL/QANW in the coming days."

Do not know what they are intending from 1 Feb, but I hope it does not involve more money from us.

Regards
Bruce

I spoke to Real a few weeks ago about this. I have never used them to be fair as I insured my deposits and warranties through IWA.Biz

Real are going to be offering the same kind of warranty protection and I think this is what the change will be.

It will be around £35 per policy. (I was paying £70 per policy to IWA).

Seems a good thing

We've been using the REAL- QANW scheme for the last 6 months, they are very good. Also the IWA scheme is used by double glaze window firms which I rather not associate myself with ! Them and Rent a Roof are the surge of the PV industry..

I got on last week for a deposit. The site has and is changing. One thing that put my nose out of joint was they now want to not only know the contract price but also the actual material costs! Don't see that's any of their business actually and to what end it is required. I put a £1! Next time I will put a £1 less than the contract price. Play the game!

good thinking. Now, if we could only access the site....

would be kinda funny if it wasn't for the fact that real make registering the deposits compulsory. How is it that we have to jump through every hoop thrown at us, but they're allowed to have their site down for weeks on end?

This is what it says :

Look forward to whats coming!
