Hi There - I have a 2002 Mazda Bongo, imported from Japan. I am about to refit the satnav unit and the vehicle has what I believe is a factory fit reversing camera (same body colour housing mounted to the rear number plate). There are two connectors from the reversing camera into the rear of the unit.
One is a single row of 5 pins and this contains a switched ignition power source, a reverse gear input, an earth and two others that I think are the return leads for each of the powering leads.
The second is the video input from the reversing camera, it is some sort of coax I am unfamiliar with and the connector is some kind of Fakra type that I am again unfamiliar with. I would ideally like to get an adapter cable with the female fakra (that is present in the rear of the unit - top right in the picture) to a male phone........as the input to the aftermarket unit is a female.
Anybody seen this type of connector before and any ideas as to how I can achieve what I am after?
