Hi All
I am looking for a lightweight ladder (as I am a lightweight!) which would be ideal to reach the average house gable end.

Does anyone recommend any make or type ie: combi ladders ?

I would prefer one with a stabilzer bar at one end.
Has anyone bought one from this site Ladders|Loft Ladders|Scaffold Towers|Extension Ladders|Telescopic Ladders|Multi Purpose ?

any experience in this would be much appreciated.

i've got multi purpose ladders 4x4 rung which seem to reach good heights. Unsure if suitable for everybody but theydo me. Plus they fold nicely into the van which means i dont have to leave on roof

Any good double/triple extender to EN131 (trade duty) will be a good bet and D shaped rungs are always preferable for comfort when working at height. I prefer the flappy style feet compared to the stabiliser bar but that's personal preference. I wouldn't bother with an industrial duty ladder for our type of work purely on the basis that they tend to be 30% heavier then your standard trade duty ladder. I've got a 3m triple extender which takes me up to about 7m and that is heavy enough for my liking weighing in at around 23kg.
