What are recommendations for cost effective home alarm systems, WiFi / RF, and Nest/Google Home compatible as already have Nest Cams?

Look in to zigbee or zwave devices. They help with home automation. Everything can be control with the app and various scenes can be set as well.
I worked for a client which is bit of smart home freak and he have around 100+ various sensors around the house and lots of scenes set. So when he is coming home the door unlocks, light come on at specific level depends of the brightness outside, relaxing music from his bose system start playing, lovely smell of flowers comes from some hidden diffusers, in the meantime flowers has been watered apprioprietaly to the moisture content in the soil, dinner almost ready in the oven, washing machine ordered detergent as it run out, just insane.
Part of that install is also few cameras and independent door/window contacts, pirs and sirens which can be access with phone anytime. And we installed main screen at the house that can control everything
