Do you use red & black or just black on the DC side? If I look in the regs I'm supposed to be using red & black or red & blue depending upon earthing but I've seen systems installed in just black.
 
BRB. Pg 92. Section 514. Table 51. Identification of conductors.

Two-wire unearthed DC power circuit.

Positive L+ = Brown
Negative L- = Grey

Black is never used on DC power not according to BRB.
