Evening all

Sorry if this has been answered before but!

The green book is out now but I have been told it does not become effective until Jan 2012. Is this true?

If it is, what colour do we use for the next six months.

Thanks

From now until 1st Jan 2012 you can use either ol' red or lil' green. From the 1st Jan 2012 only lil' green should be used for new installations that weren't designed before this date.

Thanks :D what I mean is, in 6 months will I have to take yet another (Green book) exam?

No, it's still the 17th Edition and I have it on good authority that there will be no change to 2382 until after amendment 2

Its all a scam to sell more books. How do they get away with it?

Mate, you don't have to quote yourself.

Updates are necessary. Harmonization, new technologies, new demands/requirements.. you can't be that naive?

Some of the changes in amendment 1 were to the request of the industry, to rectify problem areas.

If you think a new amendment is just another expense of ÂŁ65 (approx) then naturally you'll be pee'd off. If you actually use the book properly you will find it very worthwhile.

I agree it is necessary, but think it's disgusting they don't offer a trade-in for those of us who have bought the previous version!
