Re: Redtip "Hookstop"

Had a sample kicking round the van for a few months now but, sod's law, we've not had a Rosemary job since. Look like they should do what they're supposed to.

hmm... if the plain tile brackets they also sell actually fit between the battens, unlike most German plain tile brackets, then that could be a really good idea in combination with the hookstop as it would hopefully mean no grinding and no flashing.

Shame the brackets aren't compatible with Shuco mounting rails though.

I have a repair job coming up on our first ever rosemary job from 3 years ago, where we were making up the mounting technique as we went along, and didn't really get it right.... might well take some of these to try them out on that if you do get some in.

depends on price mind, it'd have to be cheaper than lead flashing.

Understood Gavin, how many would you ideally need for that job? Redtip have apparently designed their hooks specifically for UK roofs.....I'm to speak with their rep Weds so will get some costings then and let you know

W've used the redtips on a number iof rosemary jobs, excellent, simple to install. We therefore only now use two fixings on rosemary projects. Redtip or Solar Limpets.

The pads look excellent but price is the issue. If it puts more than ÂŁ100 or so on a job then it isn't going to be feasible in my opinion.
