Reelsaver - needed?

I came across the product by accident.

Reelsaver repairs and protects damaged cable reels - welcome

Skipping the obvious comment about a great looking electrician I wondered if anyone had had this 'problem' of the ends falling of cable reels?

It's never happened to me, so I don't see much point in paying out "the price of a reel of 1.5" for one or these things. However, if they help keep the reels upright on the cable stand that would be worth paying for.

Anyone any experience of the Reelsaver, or similar?

I'm far to tight to waste my brass on that, but I gather some on the lads on here use them and have good reports on them.

How long have you been sparking? As I can't believe you have never had a drum of cable fall apart on you, oh you have joys to come.

Quite right - well spotted - only a year and half.... I'd searched on reelsaver and found nothing, but subsequently found the earlier posts under reel saver.

At £24 a pop I've wait for the joys to come .... :bucktooth:
