Hi can anyone help i would like to see a copy of the project for the 2396 ( old 2400 ) to help me understand whats involved in the project before i take the course many thanks

The project consists of everything you would expect when designing an installation. From supply characteristics to volt drop/maximum demand/correction factors and a hell of a lot more. They will give you a template building fabrication and expect you to spec all types of wiring installs, circuit lengths, types of circuits and more.

do you have a copy that i could take a look at

TBH , you're either suitable experienced to undertake the course , or you're not.

Niceic bloody spell checked aha

ok , well i have a completed 2396 project on pdf file
but , as you can appriciate , i am totally unwilling to dish out copies to complete strangers.
however , i can tell you that C&G recommend 40 hours study time to complete all of its design course projects.......
but this is woefully inadequate , it took me 65 hrs and that was PDQ , others have spent upto 100hrs completing theirs.

I am looking to do mine next year, after speaking to the lad I do most of my training with he has told me I will need a good number of hours just on revision for the exam as 'it's the hardest you will ever take' and he said allow myself 60+ hours for the project. I wouldn't mind seeing that PDF biff, once I have finished and handed in my project this time next year that is.

Did mine back in 1999 about not sure, agree with other posters no two projects are the same, be prepared to work very hard it aint a doddle believe me
